Penn State Altoona’s Career Services is offering a Career Connections Virtual Series with two virtual sessions on Monday, March 18.
The first session will take place from 12:15 to 1:15 p.m. via Zoom. A representative from Agate Publishing, a Chicago-based independent publisher, will speak about the company’s Training Intern Network and careers in publishing. The Training Intern Network places applicants into internships with participating small publishers who cover the applicant’s cost in completing Agate Publishing Academy’s flagship Publishing Basics certification program.
Agate Publishing Academy is a career development program for aspiring publishing professionals. Created and delivered entirely by working publishing professionals, it’s a more focused, more affordable, and more accessible alternative to master’s programs.
